It’s more than clear to socially adjusted people (and those with a higher than room-temperature IQ) that ending abortion isn’t going to fix the economy any more than will instituting an interstate anti-sodomy law. This theocratic mumbo-jumbo passing itself off as a political platform is not only an insult to our intelligence as voters but fails to describe a causal relationship between one group’s narrow ideas of morality and the economy.

Since the premise of the Constitution is that we all are equal, that we all have equal rights before the law, that we all have the same rights, we have to assume from the evidence that Republicans and Christian conservatives think the real enemy of America is not marriage equality or women's reproductive rights but the Constitution itself.

They use the Constitution when it favors their cause, in this instance it's the antithesis.

One of the things I have seen crop up lately is that some social conservatives are trying to equate both forms of conservativism, the social and fiscal, as the same thing. These two positions have always caused problems for the GOP and I find a few trying to equate both as the same in order to make the fiscal position subordinate to the social position.

I've read somewhere that "Ignorance is Bliss", and if indeed that's a truism, there are a lot of happy SOB'S registered as Republicans.

Good one, Vlad's dog

Too funny, right on!

THE GOP sounds more like an Evangelical, speaking in tongues Party (church)

I doubt there is a way to gauge the stupidity of this. The measuring device needed is beyond comprehension.

This is a typical Republican - Tea Party deflection since they haven't done much to create jobs that Americans need. Actually they don't want to create jobs, so they can blame President Obama.

Yes, the prime directive of TGOP, stop President Obama from being re-elected no matter what the cost to this nation is as a result of it.

All this time I thought that the economy went to hell in a hand basket because Rush Limbaugh had a drug problem and couldn't get his figures straight. Just goes to show you how wrong I can be.

If this was anyone but the Republicans I would say they were crazy.

They are crazy. As far as they are concerned, Paul Revere took a lunch time ride to warn the British that the Americans were coming. Of course they are going to blame whatever they can for the economy crashing beside actually looking for the actual cause, because that would be even crazier.

Wow who knew "The Gay" were such powerful people? All hail the new deities Rosie O'Donnell and RuPaul. You can pick up the new Bible entitled "Horizontal Stripes Are Not Your Friend or Savior" at any Target (pronounced Tar.Jay).

More idiocy from the GOP. Not only am I personally offended (for good reason) but I can not believe their "audience" actually agrees with their stupidity. Then, again, the Religious Wrong continue to be wrong about almost everything. Talk about a plague on America! All they need do is look in a mirror.

White Blood Cells or Westboro Baptist Church? I presume the latter. And, if I am correct, I completely agree with you.
